May 12, 1907 - Sep 25, 2009 Mildred Saal, 102, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at 5:08 p.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Mrs. Saal was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Wesleyan Service Group and Vanguards at the church. For 10 years she had a winter home in Port Charlotte, FL, where she was a member of the Metropolitan Dinner Club, the Charlotte Players Theater Group, the Friends of Music, Italian-American Club and was a volunteer at the Faucett Memorial Hospital in Florida. Mrs. Saal was employed as a Secretary for Schacht Rubber Company, Huntington Laboratories, General Electric and J.C. Penney. She was born May 12, 1907, in Markle to John Clark and Nellie Prough Davis. She married Raymond Henry Saal on Aug. 12, 1938. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1976. Survivors include a brother, John M. (Dorothy) Davis, of Huntington. A funeral service was held Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Huntington, with Rev. Raymond Scribner officiating. Burial will be at the Markle Cemetery. Pallbearers were Montgomery Davis, Gregory Davis, James Curtis Davis, Michael Todd Davis, John Brent Davis and John Gerard Davis.
