Blotsky, age 66 of Aberdeen, formerly of McIntosh will be held at 10:30am MT Saturday, April 14, at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church in McIntosh. Fr Tony Grossenburg will officiate with burial in St. Bonaventure's Catholic Cemetery. Special music will be provided by Sue Bubbers and Mary Ann Johnson, soloist. Serving as casketbearers are Leo, Charlie, Gerald, Bill, David, and Jeff Blotsky. A rosary service will be held at 7:00pm MT on Friday evening at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church in McIntosh. MELVIN MATHIAS BLOTSKY was born August 11, 1940 in Flasher, ND. He was the second of sixteen children born to Peter J. and Mary (Bullinger) Blotsky. He lived in Raleigh, ND until 1954 when the family moved to McIntosh. He attended school at Raleigh and McIntosh. On June 27, 1959, he entered the South Dakota Developmental Center in Redfield. He moved to the Aberdeen Health and Rehab Center on July 24, 2000 and has lived there since. Melvin passed away on Tuesday, April 10, at the Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen. Surviving family members include his 6 brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo and Georgia Blotsky, Beulah, ND; Charlie and Marla Blotsky, Sturgis, SD; Gerald Blotsky, Bismarck, ND; William 'Bill' and Pat Blotsky, Vale, SD; David Blotsky, Williston, ND; Jeff Blotsky, Lead-Deadwood, SD; 8 sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Albert Bachmeier, Rapid City, SD; Marlene and Henry Jaszkowiak, Bismarck, ND; Darlene and Don Sieler, Sioux Falls, SD; Betty and Alvin Kraft, New Salem, ND; Clara and Dick Goodmanson, Lemmon, SD; Vernetta and Jake Kraft, Belle Fourche, SD; Annette and Curtis Gehring, McIntosh, SD; Cecelia and Blaine Tishmack, Shields, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.
