He was a retired factory worker for Dana Corporation in Caldwell, a member of the Summerfield Church of Christ, Summerfield, and a member of the Olive Lodge F. & A.M., Mt. Ephraim. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Cleveland Indians. Surviving are two sons, Michael (Cheri) Stevens of Summerfield, Tim Stevens of Lewisville; two sisters, Betty Stallings of Caldwell, Orvetta Carpenter of Cambridge; four brothers-in-law, Charles Baker, Martin Baker, Ray Baker and Floyd Baker, all of Woodsfield; five grandchildren, T.J. Stevens, Cassie Stevens, Mardis Stevens, Emily Stevens and Christine Stevens; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Baker Stevens, on Jan. 17, 2000; son, Terry Dean Stevens; brother, Meredith Stevens; and sister, Frances Harding Hague. Friends were received June 26 at Summerfield Church of Christ, until time of services, with Frank Love officiating Burial followed in Eastern Cemetery, Summerfield.
