  OBITUARY: Submitter: Daily Obituary Posting Subject: Madonna Hochstetler Message: From the Huntington Herald Press Online, May 30, 2000 Madonna Hochstetler, 74, 111 Orchard Lane, died at 4:45 p.m. Monday (May 29, 2000) at her home. Mrs. Hochstetler had been a bookkeeper for Huntington Sheet Metal. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where she was also a member of the Gollner Guild. She was a past member of the American Business Women?s Association and Elks Ladies. She was born Oct. 23, 1925, in Huntington to Albert and Esther Scher Stoffel. She married Edwin M. Hochstetler at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Her husband died May 20, 1980. Survivors include three sons, Martin E. Hochstetler, Fort Wayne, and Ronald E. Hochstetler and James E. Hochstetler, both of Huntington; two sisters, Angeline Shinebarger, New York, and Gloria Gordon, Bluffton; three brothers, John Stoffel, Kenneth Stoffel and Wally Stoffel, all of Huntington; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jane; and a brother, Louis Stoffel. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, with recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m., at Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., with Father Ron Rieder officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Masses at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church or to Parkview Home Health Care and Hospice.
