Birth: Jan. 3, 1932 Menno Hutchinson County South Dakota, USA Death: Sep. 13, 2015 Viborg Turner County South Dakota, USA Lorine Hildegard Fischer Hora Koerner, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home in Viborg, SD. Lorine was born to Adelheid (Guericke) and Edward Fischer on January 3, 1932 in Menno, SD. She was the seventh of twelve children. She was married to Frank Hora Jr. on March 13, 1955 at Grace Lutheran Church. Together they had six children. After Franks passing in 1973 Lorine moved her family to Freeman, SD and was remarried on April 18, 1981 to Gideon Koerner. Lorine enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. Through all of her life challenges she remained strong in her Christian faith and was an active member of the church. Lorine loved singing, enjoyed watching birds, and putting puzzles together. You could always put a smile on her face by giving her chocolate. Lorine was preceded in death by her parents: Adelheid and Ed Fischer; her husbands: Frank Hora and Gideon Koerner; son William Dean Hora; daughter Joan Elaine (Hora) Preheim; Step-daughter and her husband: Viella and Fred Mangold; infant brother Ewald Edward Fischer and a still born sister. She is survived by her three sons: Danny Lee Hora of Smithland, IA, Gerald Lynn Hora (Charlene) of Hurley, SD, Timothy Roy Hora (Peggy) of Ethan, SD; one daughter: Jody Delon Giese (Gary) of Sioux Falls, SD; two step-daughters: Delores (Keith) Sorensen, Beaver Dam, WI and Eileen (Roger) Gallimore, Rapid City, SD; two brothers: Elmer (Iona) and Harold (Beverly); seven sisters: Clara Ulmer, Dorthea Osborn, Cecelia Dean, Amanda Stewart, Arlene Wagner, Elsie Jensen, and Adeline Hofer as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
