- OBITUARY: Lois H. SeibertELKVILLE -- Lois H. Seibert, 91, passed away at 2:55 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2004, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.Lois was born on Feb. 12, 1913, in Elkville, the daughter of Ed and Edith (Flint) Fox.She married Howard Parrish on March 25, 1933, and he preceded her in death. She then married Frederick Roy Seibert on Sept. 4, 1937 in St. Louis, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1986.Lois worked as a seamstress for the dress factories in Pinckneyville and Du Quoin.She also worked with her husband on their farm.She and Fritz retired in 1976 and moved to Elkville.Lois was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church in Vergennes, the Saddle Club and the Vergennes Senior Citizens.Lois also enjoyed bowling.Survivors include her sister, Lorene Brayshaw of Elkville; five nieces, Charlotte Baker of Murphysboro, Rose Evans of Murphysboro, Sue Martie of Elkville, Ruth Ann Baumeyer of North Canton, Ohio, and Oma Mae Stublefield of San Angelo, Texas; she is also survived by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two sisters, Mae Porter and Eileen Fox and a brother, Milford Fox.Services will be held at the Pyatt-Harrawood & Epplin Funeral Home in Du Quoin, at 1 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2004, with Pastor Ray D. Radae officiating. Interment will be in the Elkville Cemetery in Elkville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the Pyatt-Harrawood & Epplin Funeral Home in Du Quoin.Memorials may be made to the Wesley Methodist Church in Vergennes.
