Reich, 75, of Lodi, died Dec. 1 in a Stockton hospital of natural causes after a long illness. He was born on June 2, 1928, in Antelope, N.D. Mr. Reich moved to Lodi in the late 1940's. He married Myrtle M. Bender in 1951 in Lodi. He was a masonry contractor for over 35 years, before retiring in 1993. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lodi. He enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his children, Elonda Lloyd, of Berkeley, Vickie Williams, of Acampo, Steven Reich, of Woodbridge, and Eugene Reich, of Lodi; siblings, Raymond Reich, of North Dakota, Hilda Schwartzman, of Lodi, Betty Case, of Lodi, Florence McDaniel, of Santa Clara, Rebecca Riggs, of Aptos, Loretta Mayer, of Carmichael, and Clair Kolte, of Cotati; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle M. Reich, on Feb. 5, 1986; and siblings, Albert Reich and Hedwig Cheatham. A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Lodi Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Newman of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 8 a.m. to service time Friday at Lodi Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Aid Society, 105 S. Washington St., Lodi, CA 95240. Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
