  [S927] Obituary. Tina R. Schnabel Jan 25 1915 - Oct 03 2007 Tina R. Schnabel, age 92, of Mitchell, SD died Wednesday October 3, 2007 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday at Grace Reformed Church in Mitchell with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Tina R. Wagner, daughter of Christian and Christina (Melhoff) Wagner, was born January 25, 1915 on the family farm in rural Wessington Springs, SD. She grew up on the family farm and attended Wagner Country School. Tina was united in marriage with Ludwig ?Louie? Schnabel on November 26, 1935 in Menno, SD. The couple farmed in Alpena, SD then Mt. Vernon, SD and later at Loomis, SD. In 1956 the couple made their home in Mitchell, SD. While in Mitchell, Tina cleaned houses and also several Mitchell businesses. She retired in the mid 1980?s. In 1980, Tina made her home at Meadowlawn Plaza. Tina then made her home at Avera Brady Health and Rehab on May 29, 2001 She was a member of Grace Reformed Church. In her spare time, Tina enjoyed flowers, gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Grateful for having shared her life are her four children, Elaine Peterson, Sioux Falls, SD, Bernice (Rod) Tofteland, Sioux Falls, SD, Bonnie (Mike) Thurman, Sioux Falls, SD and Larry (Paula) Schnabel, Mitchell, SD; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a sister, Eugenia Wood, Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Schnabel on September 9, 1978; her parents; two brothers, T.C.
