Oesch, 93, of 901 Illini Drive, East Peoria, formerly of Carlock, Congerville and Danvers area, died at 7:54 p.m. Saturday (April, 5, 2008) at Fondulac Rehab and Health Care Center, East Peoria. He was born Feb. 9, 1915, in Deer Creek Township, a son of Milton Leo and Augusta Caroline Pagel Oesch. He married Dorothy Roudenbush. Survivors include four children, Steve (Jeanne) Oesch, Morton; Loren Oesch, Mackinaw; Keven (Connie) Oesch, Indianapolis; and Darren Oesch, Congerville; three sisters, Viola Kath, Carlock; Loretta Oesch, Bloomington; and Yvonne (Herb) McClure, Bloomington; three sisters-in-law, Isabelle Oesch, Missouri; Frances Oesch, Hopedale; and Pat Oesch, Peoria; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters. Lawrence attended New Castle Bible Church, Mackinaw. He graduated from Illinois State Normal University. Lawrence had worked at Cargill in Congerville for many years until he retired. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the Eureka American Legion Post, Eureka.
