Pickens, Laco Carl Pickens

PICKENS, Laco Carl, 74, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008.
Laco was born March 2, 1934 in Duffy, W.Va., a son of the late Clyde and Olga Gibson Pickens.
Laco worked with the former Consol Mining; currently was co-owner of Pickens Hauling; a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church; the Barnesville Elks Lodge; and he served his country in the Army National Guard. Laco loved country music and bowling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Laco Lee Pickens; and a brother, Larry Pickens.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Hines Pickens; sons, Ronald (Bernece) Pickens of Elyria, Ohio, and Scott Pickens of Barnesville; grandchildren, Rebecca, Robert and Ryan Pickens, all of Elyria, and Trinity (Eric) Boothe of Sterling, Ohio; and brothers, Clyde of Hopedale, Ohio, Cameron of Magnolia, Ohio, and Gene of Fairview, Ohio.
Friends will be received Friday 6-9 p.m. at the Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, where services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gene Miller officiating.
Burial in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
Barnesville Elks Lodge will have services Friday 6:30 p.m.
