Joseph S. Brubach Source: The Monroe County Beacon, Woodsfield, Ohio, July 1995 Joseph S. Brubach, 81, died July 12, 1995, at Timken Mercy Hospital. He was born in Lewisville, Ohio on September 5, 1913. He had lived in Akron for many years before moving to Jackson Township five years ago, where he resided with his eldest son and family. He was a veteran having served in the U. S. Army during World War II in Europe. He was a retired salesman for Superior, Independent and McKesson Drug companies. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Joan, Bruce and Beverly, Joe and Sandi; a daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Bill Horner; nine grandchildren, Kerry Scott, Dawn, Kristin, Greg, Bart, Holly, Christa, and Lindsay and also a great-granddaughter, Evan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, in 1983, after 45 years of marriage. Friends were received July 14 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial was held July 15 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Street, Akron with Father Thomas McGovern officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Service Hospice Program, 1200 McArthur Dr., Akron, OH 44320.
