Imogene V. Paulus
Imogene V. Paulus, 89, of Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar, a resident of Bolivar since 1944 and formerly of Lewisville, O., in Monroe County, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, in Hennis Care Centre following a long illness.
She was born July 21, 1915, in Monroe County, O., a daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Miller) Young. She graduated from Lewisville High School in Lewisville, O. She had worked for the former Graef Ford Sales and Bill Good Ford Sales at Bolivar where she worked in the Title Department. She was a Bolivar area seamstress and a homemaker all her life. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Bolivar and in her younger years, she was an active member of the church. She was a past member of the Daughters of America and a past member of 4-H, where she served for 25 plus years as a seamstress and homemaker instructor.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Albert O. Paulus, who died on March 19, 1992, and they were married for 55 years; an infant daughter; and a son-in-law, Jim Webber.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris Webber of Bolivar, O.; a son, Dennis (Gloria) Paulus of Loxley, Ala.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elva Mae (Barney) Smith of Freemont, Calif.
Services will be held in Lebold Funeral Home at Bolivar, O., on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Blanche Tyree officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover, O.
