Broadway, Barnesville, died May 5, 1988 in Chagrin Fall. He was born May 1, 1899 in Morristown, a son of the late Cassius C. and Harriett K. Ayers Shepard. He was a retired pipefitter and orchard farmer in Morristown and Fairview. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Barnesville and a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Carnes Shepard and Lillian Hunkler Shepard; a daughter, Joanne Wyatt; several brothers and sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Sue) Howell of Worthington and Sandra Smith of Bainbridge Twp.; a sister, Virginia Wadsworth of North Carolina; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services were held Monday afternoon from the Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home with the Rev. James Schoonover and Fr. Rev. Charles Mascolino officiating. Burial followed in the Crestview Cemetery.
