GLENDIVE, MONTANA: Homer Ransom Pulse, Jr., 84, of Glendive, Montana passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care of a short term bout with cancer.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M.- 5:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Glendive with Pastor Avis Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with the arrangements.
Homer was born on December 14, 1923, on a farm south of Ekalaka, Montana, the son of Homer V. and Dorothy V. (Kellog) Pulse. He received his education in the Ekalaka area, graduating from the Carter County High School in Ekalaka with the class of 1944. Homer married Margaret Bender on June 15, 1952 in Ekalaka. They moved to Glendive where they have made their home since.
Homer was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Glendive Moose Lodge #949, the Glendive Elks Lodge #1324 and the Frontier Gateway Museum. His family was his primary interest his entire life. Homer's hobbies included watching boxing and baseball on television. Homer enjoyed politics and always said that he "was born a democrat and would die a democrat."
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ruth Chambers and two brothers, Marvin and Glenn Pulse.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret, two sons; Russell Pulse and his wife Pam of Vancouver, Washington and Kelly R. Pulse and his wife Virginia of Glendive, one daughter, Kaye V. Pulse of Glendive, one sister, Dorothy Albert and her husband Dean of Great Falls, Montana, three brothers; Robert Pulse and his wife Phyllis of Yakima, Washington, Donald Pulse and his wife Bonita "Tunk" of Glendive and Kenneth Pulse and his wife Beverly of Cody, Wyoming, one granddaughter, Tamara Pulse, four grandsons; Shawn Z. Pulse, and his wife Kelly D., Buck K. Pulse, Adam R. Pulse and Jason A. Pulse, three great grandsons; Zachary, Skyler and Jaden and one great granddaughter, Rachael.
" I thank the Lord for my wonderful wife and mother our sweet daughter Kaye and our very best sons Russell and Kelly. My family was my strength in life; they made me proud. I love them dearly".
