Birth: Aug. 26, 1900 Kosciusko County Indiana, USA Death: Mar. 7, 1940 Wabash Wabash County Indiana, USA OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - March 8, 1940 The death of Harold O Heyde, 39, well known Wabash resident of 449 north Allen street, occurred at the Wabash county hospital at 7:00 o'clock Thursday evening following an illness of three weeks caused by pneumonia and complications. Mr. Heyde was a well-known independent oil and transport dealer and proprietor of a chain of stations at Logansport, Akron, Marion, Huntington, Kokomo, Amboy and Wabash. He was well liked and is remembered by his social and business associates as an all-around good natured man. He is a member of the local order of Masonic lodge and an active member of the Men's Bible class and the Brotherhood of the First Evangelical church. Mr. Heyde was born in Koscuisko county August 26, 1900 to Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Heyde of Bremen and was one of seven children and is the first of this union to pass away. He was married to Geraldine Klinger of Wabash June 14, 1924 and to this union were born two daughters, Martha Lucille and Mary Elizabeth. He is survived by the widow, the two daughters, the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Heyde, and the following brothers and sisters; Dewey Heyde, Logansport; Forrest Heyde, Rochester; Claude Heyde Rochester; Claude Heyde of Bremen; and Mrs. Marie Hechamen, Silver Lake; and Mrs. Alma Druckamiller of Syracuse. Funeral services will be held at the late residence at 1:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Evangelical church north Wabash street with the Rev. Elmer Smith officiating. The #interment will be at Falls cemetery. The body was taken to the Hoover funeral home and Friday returned to the residence.
