Gregory (Greg) Dale Froehlich, 57, Mandan, died June 8, 2009, at Medcenter One, Bismarck, with family by his side. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Chaplain Walter Schott officiating. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Greg, the youngest of seven children, was born Jan. 15, 1952, to Jacob J. and Erna (Braunberger) Froehlich in McClusky, where he was reared and attended school. He graduated from McClusky High School in 1970 and went on to college earning an associate of arts degree from Bismarck State College. In 1971, Greg enlisted in the Airforce and served his country until 1975 until discharged, and then serving in the North Dakota National Guard and working as a computer programmer. Starting in 2005, he worked for The Ramkota Inn as an auditor.
Greg's sense of humor and great jokes leave fond memories and smiles for all those who knew him. With an appreciation for the outdoors, Greg loved to spend his time camping and four-wheeling in the mountains with his siblings. Within the last couple of years he was fortunate enough to have a chance to travel to Tennessee with his daughter, and also explore Texas. He had a love for flying and hoped to help build a plane with his brother-in-law. Greg also enjoyed listening and singing to gospel music.
Left with special memories are his daughter, Amanda Fulliam (fiance Corey Gross), Bismarck; his son, Dale Froehlich, Manchester, N.H.; three grandchildren, Tanner and Tyanna, Bismarck, and Logan, Manchester; three brothers, Tim (Carol) Froehlich, Spokane, Wash., Leo (Jackie) Froehlich, Devils Lake, and Robert Froehlich, Rapid City, S.D.; two sisters, Patricia (Froehlich) Stalnaker and her husband, Charles, Wibaux, Mont., and Mable (Froehlich) Tkach, McClusky; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
