  [S927] Obituary. Gary Gail Hummel died peacefully on July 7, 2003 at TMC Hospice. He was born in Tucson on January 5, 1947, the son of the late Gail and Helen (Curtis) Hummel. Gary attended Catalina and Palo Verde High Schools where he met lifelong friends. He also attended Yuma College and the University of Arizona where he pledged Phi Delta Theta. Gary had a great zest for life. He enjoyed a huge circle of friends from all walks of life. He had worked for the last 14 years as an outstanding salesman for Essential Pest Control. Al, the owner of Essential, was Gary's dear friend and mentor as well as employer. Gary's hobbies included collecting Western memorabilia, antiques and guns, as well as hunting and darts and entertaining friends. Gary Hummel is survived by his loving companion of 13 years, Heather; his sister, Trudy (Mark) Allen of Santa Barbara, CA; his aunt, Naida Kipp of Sacramento, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration honoring the life of Gary G. Hummel will be held at McGraw's Cantina, 4110 S. Houghton on August 2, 2003 beginning at 2:00 p.m. All of his friends are invited.
