Foster Guy Edmiston Birth: Jul. 31, 1912 Mayburg Forest County Pennsylvania, USA Death: Dec. 27, 1984 Warren Warren County Pennsylvania, USA Foster Guy Edmiston, 72, Six Mile Road, Tiona, died at St. Vincent Medical Center at 7 p.m., on December 27, 1984, after a two year illness. Born in Mayburg, on July 31, 1912, a son of the late Guy and Mary Fitzgerald Edmiston. He had lived in Tiona for 47 years, moving from Clarendon. He was employed as a leaseman with the South Penn Oil Company until his 1976 retirement. He was a member of the Tiona United Methodist Church, was on the board of trustees of the church and was a member of the Golden Rulers. He served in the National Guards. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Kemmer Edmiston; five sons, Emory Edmiston, Lantz Corners; Edwin Edmiston, Stoneham; Leon Edmiston, Sheffield; Danny Edmiston, Tiona; and Gregory Edmiston, Erie; a daughter, Mrs. Lynda McHenry, Strattanville, PA; 22 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Arnold Edmiston, Clarendon Heights and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Edmiston and two sisters and two brothers. Funeral aarrangements were handled by Borden-Vincent Funberal Home with services held at the Tiona United Church, Rev. Tim Maybray and Rev. Howard K. Markel, officiated with burial in the Oakland Cemetery. The family suggest memorial donations to the Tiona Methodist Church or the American Heart Society.
