She was born October 13, 1913 in Belmont County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Oliver R. Clift and Maude F. Knox Clift. She was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Landefeld; one daughter, Linda Landefeld; twin great grandsons, Gerald William and Charles Marvin Hossman; four brothers, Everett, William, Ernest and Oliver Jr. Clift; and one sister, Florence Alice Carpenter. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Ron) Thornberry of Somerton; three grandchildren, Darla (Jerry) Hossman of Malaga, Wendi (Jeff) Miller of Somerton and Traci (Dave) Carpenter of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; six great grandchildren, Jeremi (Nicole) Hossman of Wilson, Ohio, Joshua Hossman of Malaga, Jonathan Miller of Somerton, Jenna Miller of Somerton, Darby Hossman of Malaga and Dagan Hossman of Malaga; one sister, Leanna Riemenschneider of Woodsfield; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday, April 20, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul Street, Woodsfield, Ohio where services will be held 1 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in the Miltonsburg Cemetery.
