Enid Reeves, 96, of Canton, GA,
originally Kansas City, passed on
August 8, 2015. Visitation will be at 9
a.m. Friday, August 14th at Queen of
the Holy Rosary Church, 7023 W 71st
St, Shawnee Mission, KS 66204, with
Mass of Christian Burial starting at 10
a.m. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet
Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd,
KCMO 64138, following Mass. The
family invites you to join them for a
reception after burial at 12629 Goddard
Ave, OP, KS 66213. Memorial Contributions may be sent to Boys Town
National Headquarters, 200 Flanagan Blvd, PO Box 8000, Boys Town, NE
68010. Enid was born on August 31, 1918 in Kansas City, MO, to Charles and
Elmira (Mansman) Mayer. Along with her parents, Enid is preceded in death
by her brothers; Cletus, Sed, Max, and Gerard, sisters; Rhea, Nelda, Arda,
and Eloise, and her daughters; Dianne Kirby and Marilyn Howard. She is
survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Dean A. Reeves, son; Donald
Abell (Shirley), grandchildren; Julie Abell Ramsey (David), Karen Abell
Woods (Jeff), Stacey Abell, Tammy Goldstein (Joel), Lori Meisner Cleland
(Chris), Suzette Meisner Ging (Stanley), Michael Morales (Risa), Mark
Morales (Andi), Danette Howard, David Howard, Donald Howard (Jennifer),
Doug Howard (Tiffany), and her many great-grandchildren, and her first
great great- grandchild. Enid lived 96 (almost 97) wonderful years. She
was a longtime supporter of Boys Town and the Salesian Missions, and spent
many hours volunteering at Queen of the Holy Rosary and St. Vincent De
Paul. Enid was known for growing some legendary vegetables, cooking the
best pot roast ever, and her beautiful contagious smile! She will be
greatly missed by loving friends and family.
