Delilah M. Young, age 90, of Canton, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008. She was born on November 11, 1918, in Lewisville, Ohio, to the late John and Mary Lumbatis. Delilah was a 1937 graduate of Lewisville High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting and helping others. Delilah was a member of the 38th Street Church of Christ in Canton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur Lumbatis and Roland Lumbatis; and one sister, Roberta McElfresh. Delilah is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Irvin "Bud" Young; four children, Sandra (Harvey) Gooch of Canton, Charles (Jetta) Orr of Tuscarawas, Ralph (Connie) Young of Lewisville and Rodney Young of Twinsburg; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-granchildren; sister, Florence Carpenter of Beaver Fall, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2008 from 10-11am in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. A graveside service will be held immediately following calling hours at Sunset Hills Burial Park with Lance Lindenberger officiating.
