Born Jan. 16, 1960, in Sioux Falls, SD, the daughter of Dallas L. and Pearl V. (Anderson) Engel. Graduate of Guilford High School, Class of 1978, and went on to receive a bachelors in elementary education from Bethel University in 1982. From 1984 to 1986, Crystal taught school in California, later she worked as an administrative assistant at Sundstrand for 19 years. Member of Temple Baptist Church. Crystal enjoyed estate sales, reading and helping people. Survivors include stepmother, Patricia; sister, Carla (David) Uherka; nephews, Dustin and Nathan Uherka; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, in Temple Baptist Church, 3215 State St E, with visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m.; Dr. Bill Patterson will officiate.
