Obituary - Barnesville Enterprise - Clem Hunkler: Clem Hunkler, 89, of 316 North Fourth St., Dennison, Ohio, died Saturday, July 6th at Twin City Hospital in Dennison. He was born in Miltonsburg, November 2, 1884, a son of the late Michael and Barbara Burkhart Hunkler. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption of Barnesville, the Holy Name Society of the Church and Modern Woodmen of America. He was a baker by trade and was the last of the Hunkler brothers who owned and operated Hunkler restaurant and Bakery on North Arch Street. Preceded in death by his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Vaughn of Arlington, Va., and Mrs. Walter (Mildred) Hodkinson of Dennison; five grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Three sisters and six brothers preceded him in death. They are Miss Mary Hunkler, Miss Ella Hunkler, Mrs. Harry (Lucy) Lynn Frank, Benjamin, William, Sylvester, John, and Charles. The body was brought to the Campbell & Plumly Funeral Home on North Chestnut Street where friends were received. Mass of the Resurrection was held Tuesday, July 9th at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, Barnesville, with Father Robert A. Brown officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Rosary devotions were held at the funeral home Monday evening at 8.
