Eventually settled in Steele, ND. and married John L. George, a veteran of the Spanish American War. They had two children, Robert George and Evaline Gill. After Evaline's husband died in 1946, John and Charlotte moved to Manhattan Beach to help out. Charlotte lived to be 101, almost 102 yrs old. On her 100th birthday was made honorary police chief of Redondo Beach Ca. She was also given a plaque by city of Torrance Ca. and said to be the oldest social security recipient in the South Bay at the time.Lived several years in Manhattan Beach with Evaline and her children before spending 4 yrs in a Torrance rest home.
