Catherine Clare Cecilla (Mitsch) Sultany, 64, of Parkersburg went to be with the Lord Oct. 24, 2009, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Wheeling, W.Va., on Aug. 5, 1945, a daughter of the late William Mitsch and Evelyn (Glaser) Mitsch.
She was a member of Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church, a research chemist for Borg Warner Chemical Co. and Ohio University, and was owner and operator with her husband of Divisions Department Store.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Wazir Sultany of Parkersburg; two daughters, Parween (Sultany) Mascari and husband, Adrian Michael, of Morgantown, W.Va., and Rena Sultany of Las Vegas, Nev.; six brothers and sisters, William Mitsch, Robert Mitsch, Joseph Mitsch, Mary Theresa Vogel, James Mitsch and Rita Solinsky; four grandchildren, Chanel, Adrian, Isabella and Sophia; and 15 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Aunt Mary Mitsch.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Peterson as celebrant. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with a wake service at 7:30 p.m.
