Bonnie F. (Doll) Vogel, 57, Mandan, passed away Nov. 13, 2015, at Sanford Health with her family by her side. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with a parish rosary vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Bonnie was born in Mandan on Sept. 24, 1958, to Jacob L. and Clementine (Bender) Doll. Raised in Mandan, she graduated from MHS in 1977 and attended Interstate Business College, graduating with a degree in accounting. She then worked for various jobs in the Bismarck-Mandan area, including Handicap Bus, Unisys, and Taxi 9000. Bonnie touched a lot of lives with her wonderful personality.
From a previous marriage Bonnie had three children; the first born was Thomas James “TJ”, then Jessica, and Sara. In 1990, she married her best friend, Dave Vogel, in Washburn. This union brought three additional children to the family: Ray, Amanda, and Angie. In 1991, Dave and Bonnie had a daughter, Melissa.
Bonnie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking and baking. She and Dave enjoyed horseback riding with TK, Ringo, Dee, Magic, and Duke. On Sundays, they spent time together feeding their horses and enjoying the countryside. They loved going for long drives and listening to polka music. Bonnie loved all kinds of animals. Her most recent special pet was Spike, her little miniature pinscher. She was active in the community and loved helping others. Bonnie will always be remembered as a loving and giving person.
Blessed to have shared her life is her husband and best friend, Dave Vogel, Mandan; her children, Ray (Susan) Vogel, Amanda (Jamie) Haff, Jessica (Travis) Martin, Angie (Rick) Chenoweth, Sara (Corey) Scherr, and Melissa Vogel; 14 grandchildren, Stephanie, Vanessa, Shawn, Britney, Kyra, Kendra, Mariah, Tanner, Adrianna, Jaxson, Ciara, Zoey, Constantien and Mathias; her siblings, Linda (Kasper) Erhardt, Karen Doll, Jacob F. (Sherry) Doll, Kathy (Dan) Bauer, Darlene LeBlanc and Teresa (Kevin) Schreck; and her brothers and sister-in-law, Marvin (Edna) Vogel, Doug (Ann) Vogel, and Kathy (Terry) Jenkins.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her loved ones: Jacob and Clementine Doll (her parents); John and Josephine Vogel (In-laws); Thomas James “TJ” (her infant son); Linda Vogel (sister-in-law); Bill LeBlanc (brother-in-law); Glen Smith (nephew); Lexi, Dominick and Levi (grandchildren); and her special dogs, Gypsy, Custer and Sandy.
