Bede J. Michel, age 72, of 930 Mill St., Louisville passed away Monday
afternoon [13 Jun 1977] at his home following a short illness.
Born in Noble County March 3, 1905, to the late Leonard and Eva Dimmerling
Michel, he lived in the Louisville area 42 years. He was retired from Republic
Steel Co. in 1971 and worked as a millrite for many years. He was a member of St.
Louis Catholic Church and the Louisville K of C Council No. 2530.
He is survived by his wife, Frieda A. (Schafer) of the home; four daughters, Mrs.
James (Alverna) Kline of Ravenna, Mrs. Richard (Ardell) Bolanz of Minerva, Mrs.
Clair (Janet) Shockling of Caldwell, and Mrs. Robert J. (LaVera) Paumier of Louisville;
one brother, Roy Michel of Canton; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Schindler of Massillon,
Mrs. Ella Weisend of Louisville, and Mrs. Hilda Shockling of Canton; 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry, in 1968.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held this morning, Thursday, at 11 AM in St.
Louis Church with burial in the church cemetery. Friends called at the Paquelet Funeral
Home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. K of C services were conducted at the
funeral home on Wednesday at 7 PM.
