Arnie was born and raised on the Eastside of St. Paul and he graduated from Johnson High School in 1942. He married his adored Vivian (Hagstrom) on March 4, 1944 and they raised their 5 children in White Bear Lake and North St. Paul. He was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. He graduated from Hamline University and taught at North St. Paul High School for 35 years, where he also coached hockey and golf. Arnie was also an avid outdoorsman. A private graveside service with military honors was held on May 29, 2018 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held to honor Arnie and share memories on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Keller Golf Club, St. Paul. Thank you to the loving caregivers during Arnie's end of life journey.
