Flory, 88, Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Old German Baptist Brethren Church in southwestern Douglas County. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Flory died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, at the Baldwin Care Center. He was born Sept. 9, 1914, in Pleasant Grove, the son of Elmer L. and Mary Ellen (Montgonery) Flory. Mr. Flory attended grade school in the Pleasant Grove district and grew up there. He was a stockman and farmer and he worked for Rural Water District No. 2 for 20 years. He was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. He married Dorothea Elizabeth Schwary on Sept. 9, 1938, in Fairview, Mo. She died July 25, 2002. Survivors include a son, Dennis, rural Lawrence; a daughter, Darlene Ann Bard, Olathe; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Family links: Parents: Elmer L.
