  [S927] Obituary. Alvy E. Gokey Alvy E. Gokey, 72 passed away Thursday, Apr. 28, at a Prairie du Chien hospital after a long illness. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gokey, he was born June 22, 1888 in Prairie du Chien, where he has lived his entire life. In January 1909 he was married to Anna Friedman and to this union four children were born. His wife passed away in 1919. He was married to Amy Drake, May 12, 1920 and one son, Arthur was born to this union. He passed away Nov 20, 1948. Surviving are his wife,three daughters and one son, Mrs. Kermit (Eleanor) Rutter, Prairie du Chien; Mrs. Walter (Florence) Settle, Brookfield, Wis; Mrs. Burdette (Lorraine) Keehner, Eldridge, Iowa and Donald, Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. A. D. Clark, Sun Prairie, Wis., also survive. Funeral services were held Saturday, Apr. 30, at St. Gabriel's church, the Rev. Edward Schneider, S. J. officiating and intermant was in St. Gabriel's cemetery.
