Funeral services for Alphonse Martin, 58, route 1, Ixonia, who died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lingering illness, will be held Monday morning in St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Mapleton. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Mr. Martin had been employed as a mechanic. He lived in the route 1, Ixonia, area for over six years. He was born March 7, 1901 in Allenton, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Martin. He was married to Barbara Schuster of Menomonee Falls. He was a member of St. Catherine's Church. Surviving are his wife; seven sons, Ralph and Douglas, both of Hartford; Richard, Pewaukee; Thomas, U. M. M> C., San Diego, Calif.; Steven, James and Edward, all at home; nine daughters, Mrs. Mary Komp and Mrs. Rita Jungpluth(sic), Pewaukee; Mrs. Shirley Zwieg and Mrs. Joan Wittnebel, route 1, Ixonia; Virginia, Christine, Susan, Barbara Ann and Betty, at home. Also surviving are his father, John Martin, Menomonee Falls; 16 grandchildren, four brothers and five sisters. The body is at the Haack Funeral Home, Menomonee Falls, where friends may call to pay their respects after 2:30 p.m. Sunday."
