OBITUARY: Vernon Willacker VERNON J. WILLACKER, of Lyon Township, died November 25, 2005. He was 72. Vernon was born May 3, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to Martin and Florence (Michels) Willacker. Mr. Willacker was a resident of Lyon Township for 52 years, where he was a self employed residential builder. Vernon had a strong sense of family and took a lot of pride in coming from a large family. He is described as a family leader, who especially loved his grandchildren. Mr. Willacker had a great sense of humor and was a master practical joker. He was a good craftsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his loving partner and best friend Rose Case of Lyon Township; children, David (Danielle) Willacker of South Lyon, Donna Willacker of South Lyon, Dale Willacker of Pinckney, and Dawn (Frank) Paduganan of Irvine, CA; siblings, Shirley (Russell) Gramer of Howell, Clayton (Evelyn) Willacker of Schoolcraft, Gerald (Judith) Willacker of TX, Gail Campbell of Farmington Hills, and Arleen Mathews of FL; grandchildren; Blane Smallwood, Deseree Willacker, Danyelle Willacker, Laura Willacker, Sara Willacker, Daren Willacker, and David Willacker; and great grandchildren, Dalton, Byron and Brooklyn. He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 brothers and sisters. A memorial service was held Wednesday at Casterline Funeral Home, Inc. of South Lyon. Rev. Craig Fox officiated the service.
