Mariner's Knoll Genealogy USA [S927] Obituary. CALDWELL -- The Rev. Durel E. Truax, 85, of Caldwell, died at 7:54 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2004, at the Southeastern Ohio Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born June 5, 1919, in Woodsfield, a son of the late Cletus and Mary Bonham Truax. Rev. Truax was a World War II veteran, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge with the 264th Field Artillery Battalion. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West St., Caldwell, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Gary Fitzgerald and the Rev. Larry Hukill officiating. Burial will be in Eastern Cemetery at Summerfield with military graveside services.
