Ashley ? Lawrence A Trapp, 92 of Ashley passed away Wednesday November 20, 2013 at DeKalb Health in Auburn. He was born July 27, 1921 in Garrett to Adam T and Magdalena (Richter) Trapp. He was a graduate of Ashley High School Class of 1940 and a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church of Waterloo. He was a WWII U S Marine Corps Veteran. He served in Iwo Jima. Lawrence worked as a pattern maker for Foley Pattern Company for 35 years before retiring in March 1986. He married Mary Celestine ?Sally? Bender on February 23, 1946 in St Michaels Catholic Church and she survives in Ashley. Also surviving are 4 daughters and 2 sons, Joyce Ross of Santa Cruz, CA, Kathleen (Robert) Bruhn of Canton, OH, Martha (Daryl) McIntire of Indianapolis, Barbara (Gene) Burton of Muncie, Charles (Diane) Trapp of Wolcottville and Paul (Suzanne) Trapp of Prior Lake, Minn; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Stephen Joseph Trapp, a grandson Michael Ross, a son in law Robert Ross and 2 brothers Richard Trapp and Fredrick Trapp. A mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 PM Saturday November 23, 2013 at St Michaels Catholic Church, Waterloo with Father David Carkenord officiating. Burial in St Michaels Catholic Cemetery. Calling is Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo and also 1 hour prior to the service Saturday at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 6 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to St Michaels Catholic Church Restoration Fund.
