  [S927] Obituary. Viola Neuharth A memorial gathering will be held June 30 for Viola C. Neuharth of Eugene, who died June 24 of heart failure. She was 88. Neuharth was born Oct. 18, 1916, in Alpena, S.D., to August and Elsie Wahl. She married Reinhold Neuharth on Oct. 18, 1934, in Marion, S.D. She farmed with her family in South Dakota until 1955, when she moved to Oregon. She worked as a certified nurse assistant at Sacred Heart General Hospital for 19 years. After retiring, she lived in La Pine for several years. Neuharth enjoyed crafts, crocheting and spending time with her family. She belonged to the Moose and Eagles lodges and Emmanuel Christian Church. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Don of Coos Bay and Ron of Springfield; three daughters, Pat Kukuk, Karen McCoy and Kay Tieman, all of Eugene; a sister, Lorraine Roberts of Lubbock Texas; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Donna Jay, died in 1997. Thursday's gathering will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the recreation hall at Daneland Mobile Home Park in Eugene. Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene is in charge of arrangements. A private family inurnment service will be later at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.
