Birth: unknown Fort Wayne Allen County Indiana, USA Death: Jan. 16, 2015 Fort Wayne Allen County Indiana, USA GERALDINE E. NIEZER, 90, passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, surrounded by her family. Born in Fort Wayne, Geraldine was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and attended St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Ind. She was a member of the Fort Wayne Country Club and a former member of the Fort Wayne Junior League. Surviving are her sons, William G. (Carol) Niezer, Gerald F. (Anne) Niezer, Bernard A. (Debra) Niezer, and Thomas M. (Barbara) Niezer, all of Fort Wayne, and Edward J. (Molly) Niezer of Granger, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Sandra A. Niezer of Overland Park, Kansas; sister, Edith M. O'Rourke of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Bernard M. Niezer; son, Stephen B. Niezer; father, William S. O'Rourke Jr.; mother, Frances G. O'Rourke; brother, Stephen F. O'Rourke; and granddaughter, Sarah E. Niezer. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10070 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. The Reverend Ben Muhlenkamp officiating. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Visiting hours will conclude with a vigil and prayer of the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
