  Notes	The Edgerton Earth Thursday, April 24, 1941 OBSERVE GOLDEN WEDDING EVENT Children and Grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. David Buchs All Present Mr. and Mrs. David Buchs celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their home Sunday April 20, with their children present. A pot luck dinner for the family was held at 12 o'clock noon. Mr. Buchs was born in Alsace, Lorraine and is 78 years old. Mrs. Buchs was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and is 66 years old. They were married April 23, 1891 at St. Mary's Catholic church, Edgerton, O. Mr. and Mrs. Buchs are parents of twelve children, including Mrs. Echo Rohrbaugh, John Buchs, Michael Buchs, Fred Buchs, Mrs. Fred Jerger, Alonzo Buchs, all of Edgerton; August Buchs, Rockwood, Mich.; Mrs. Earl Davis, Mrs. Albert Weber and Mrs. Herman Kruse, of Toledo; and Frederick Buchs of Rockwood, Mich.; one daughter deceased and fifteen grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Buchs received some very lovely gifts and numerous bouquets of flowers from their friends and neighbors. (Submitted by Kate Watson)

  EDGERTON - Ned A. Nisley, 69, of rural Edgerton, died late Friday evening, July 7, 2000, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Fort. Wayne, Ind., following an extended illness. He was born July 10, 1930, near Kunkle, to Ruth (Stambaugh) and William Nisley. On July 14, 1950, in Farmer, he was married to Virginia Dietsch, and she survives. A veteran of the United States Army during the Korean conflict, he was a truck driver for 18 years, most recently working for TMX trucking. He and his wife also operated Rosedale Stables and Harness Shop near Edgerton and he was a past president and member of the Buckeye Border Bluegrass Club. He was also a maintenance man for Milford Township. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joe Nisley of Bryan; three daughters, Mrs. Alonzo (Mary) Buchs of Edgerton, Cheryl Nisley of McComb, and Mrs. Walter (Rose) Carpenter of Edgerton; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly Perkins of Kunkle. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jac Nisley; and a granddaughter, Chasity Carpenter. Visitation will be today from 4-8 p.m. at the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor James O. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Farmer Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Virginia E. Nisley (1930 - 2005) EDGERTON - Virginia E. Nisley, 74, of rural Edgerton, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at her residence, following an extended illness. Born July 18, 1930, near Edgerton, to Opal (Fisher) and Estell Dietsch, she married Ned A. Nisley on July 14, 1950, in Farmer and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2000. A graduate of Farmer High School and a press operator at Hayes Albion, she retired with over 30 years of service. She also operated Rosedale Stables and Harness Shop near Edgerton for over 40 years. She attended Trinity Bible Church in Edgerton. Surviving are a son, Joe Nisley of Bryan; three daughters, Mrs. Alonzo (Mary) Buchs of Bryan, Cheryl Nisley of Findlay and Mrs. Walter (Rose) Carpenter of Edgerton; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chasity Carpenter; and a brother, Lavon Dietsch. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Matt Brown to officiate. Burial will follow in Farmer Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Hospice.
