He was the beloved husband of Evelyn Wegmann Barthe, loving father of Beverly Barthe Lambkin and her husband, Bill, Donald Barthe and his wife, Norma, and Raymond Barthe and his wife, Laurian, son of the late Edwina Vigreaux Barthe and Paul Barthe, and brother of Dee Dee Davis and the late Shirley Kelly and Clyde Barthe. He is also survived and fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Clayton Runfalo, Casey Barthe, Remy Barthe, Ronald Barthe and Anna Barthe; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Barthe retired from South Central Bell in 1983, after 41 years of service. He was a former parishioner of St. Louise de Marillac Church and a resident of Arabi since 1953, until Hurricane Katrina. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, on Friday, June 8, from 10 a.m. until funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
