Twenter, 93, passed away April 3, 2013, at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove. Born November 10, 1919, Henry was the second oldest son of Daniel and Mary Twenter. He was a World War II veteran, spent time farming and raising dairy cows, and in 1960 went to work for the United States Government as a rural letter carrier. He carried mail in the Pilot Grove area until his retirement in 1990. On May 22, 1944, Henry married Rosaline Gerke. She preceded him in death on March 17, 1960. On November 27, 1976, he married Virginia Rutz who preceded him in death on July 29, 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leonard Twenter and Wilbert (Bee) Twenter.
