  [S926] Find-A-Grave, (www.findagrave.com). [S927] Obituary. MOUNT GILEAD -- Mary Grace (Matz) Stewart, 64, of Willow Lane, Mount Gilead, Ohio, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, in Riverside Hospital. She was born in Greenville, Ohio, on Oct. 2, 1939, the daughter of the late Leland and Olive Cyphert Matz. She received a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Cincinnati. She worked as an art teacher for Marion Catholic and Marion City Schools. She moved here from Waldo in 1998. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and had been active in the Marion Meals on Wheels, Marion County Homemakers and the Ohio State University Extension Service. She excelled in creating and teaching others to create beautiful art and craft pieces. She is survived by her husband, Paul C. Stewart, whom she married March 29, 1963; a son, Peter Stewart of Norfolk, Va.; two granddaughters, Justine and Jenelle Stewart; a brother, Marvin Matz of Boca Raton, Fla.; and a sister, Marta Kay Dale of Princeton, Fla. A brother, David Matz, also preceded her in death. Pastor Dennis L. Braun will conduct funeral services in Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Gilead on Friday at 2 p.m. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Rivercliff Cemetery.
