McMullen 50, of Hopedale, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday following an apparent heart attack at his home. He was a farmer and was a former employe (sic) of Caterpillar Tractor Co.Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the Davis Mortuary, Hopedale. Rev. Clifford J. McEvers will officiate. Interment will be in Shiloh cemetery. Hopedale American Degion (sic) Post No. 1157 of which he was a member, will conduct military rites at graveside. Friends may call at the mortuary from 7 until 9 p.m. on Thursday.Born Nov 8, 1919 in Hopedale township, he was a son of Frederick and Ethel Britton McMullen. He never married.He is survived by his parents; three brothers, Richard of Minier, George of Tremont and Hugh of Hopedale. Mr. McMullen was a veteran of World War II and a member of Hopedale Methodist church. He served as adjutant of Post 1157, was a past commander and past chaplain."
