Louis John ZaunbrecherLouis John Zaunbrecher, 75, of Iowa, La. died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2004 in a local hospital. Mr. Zaunbrecher was a native of Mowata, La. and lived in Lake Charles for forty-four years before moving to Bell City five years ago. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Helen Martel Zaunbrecher of Bell City; two sons, William John ?Billy? Zaunbrecher and wife Jessica of DeRidder and Martin John Zaunbrecher and wife Elizabeth of Holmwood; two daughters, Paula Rosteet and husband Charles of Bell City and Valerie Granger and husband Mark of Bell City; thirteen grandchildren,Anna Zaunbrecher, Jade Renee Zaunbrecher, Copel and Zaunbrecher,Cullen Zaunbrecher,Alex Zaunbrecher,Wyatt Zaunbrecher,Zach Zaunbrecher, Chuck Rosteet, Allison Rosteet, Katie Rosteet, Eric Granger, Kristi Granger, Emily Granger; one great grandchild, Kylee Granger; five brothers, Lawrence Zaunbrecher of Branch, Stanley Zaunbrecher of Mowata, Rodney ?Ronnie? Zaunbrecher of Iowa, Robert Zaunbrecher of Alexandria, and Lloyd ?Butch? Zaunbrecher of Iowa; eight sisters, Helen Thevis of Mowata, Tillie Leonards of Lake Charles, Laura Bellard of Mowata, Teanie Fruge of Eunice, Jeanette Holtzapple of Carencro, Jo Ann Myers of Roberts Cove, Margaret Reagan of Egan, and Edna Mae Leger of Lake Charles. His parents, Nicholas and Josephine Frey Zaunbrecher as well as a son, Brian Louis Zaunbrecher precede him in death. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2004 from St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bell City, La. Reverend Albert Borel will officiate. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 6 p.m. followed by a rosary.
