Heft age 88 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away on November 3, 2006 at The Convalariam at Indian Run in Dublin, Ohio. He was born December 2, 1917 in Monroe County son of the late Lewis Heft, Jr. and the late Minnie Christman Heft. He was preceded in death by brothers Theodore, Francis, Paul, Charles and sisters, Bessie Sutherland and Melba Reich. Surviving is his loving wife of 68 years, Ethel Cree Heft. Stanley is also survived by a brother William of Clearwater, Florida. He is survived by daughter Carol (Richard) Schumacher; son, Stephen (Joyce) Heft; grandchildren and spouses, Rick (Lori) Schumacher, Jr., Stephen (Erin) Schumacher, Sarah (Jeff) Kurz, and Bryan (Lauren) Heft; Great Grandchildren, Nicole, Jason, Nicholas & Elizabeth Schumacher, Davis and Mary Grace Kurz. Stanley served in the Navy during World War II and was assigned to the Cassagrande Ship. Stanley was associated with the Citizen?s National Bank for over 50 years, and retired in 1981 as President but continued to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors until March 2005. Stanley was a member of St. Paul?s United Church of Christ in Woodsfield, Ohio for 66 years, a 60-year member of Masonic Lodge #189, a 60-year member of the American Legion Post 87, and a member of K of P Lodge, Eastern Star #268, and a longtime member of the Ohio Banker?s Association. He also served on the Woodsfield Exempted Village School Board for 16 years. Friends will be received from (1-4) p.m.and (7-9) p.m. on Tuesday at the Bauer and Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, Ohio. Masonic services will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. (calling hour 1 hour prior to service) at St. Paul?s United Church of Christ, 303 S. Main St., Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. Frank Lehosky and Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Interment immediately following in the Oaklawn Cemetery.
