He died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services. He was a native of Harrison County, a retired plant operator with the Floyd county School System for 29 years, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Jacobs Chapel United Methodist Church, VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693, American Legion Post 28 and the Sellersburg Moose Lodge 1757. Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Reas; two daughters, Carol Evaline and Cathy Evaline of Jeffersonville; three sisters, Lucille McCutcheon of Salem, Bertha Johnson of Bradenton, Fla. and Lottie Ayers of Jeffersonville; and several nieces and nephews.
