He worked for Zollner Corp. for 34 years, retiring in 1992, and belonged to Zollner's Quarter Century Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 240 in Avilla the Kendallville VFW and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He had lived in Avilla 57 years. He was born September 16, 1926 in Eel River Twp, Allen County, to Dewey and Helen (Akers) Sible. On June 11, 1949 he married Brunetta Teders at St. Mary's Church. Surviving are his wife; 4 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, Tom and Nancy and David and Joni Sible of Kendallville, Dan and Jennifer Sible and Mark Sible of Avilla; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Keith Gillian of Rome City; a sister, Lois Phares of Elkhart; 5 grandchildren, Sarah and Todd Gillian, Darren, Jordan and Bret Sible; a step-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Malcolm. Services Wednesday in St. Mary's Church.
