Anna Fox Schafer's obituary appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on March 6, 1960. Mrs. Anna Schafer, 81, of the Dudley community, Noble County, died at 6 a.m. Saturday in the Broughton Rest Home following a month's illness. Mrs. Schafer was a lifelong resident of Noble County. She was born July 23, 1878, the daughter of Fred and Sevilla Singer Fox. She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church at Caldwell. Her husband, Joseph, preceded her in death. Surviving are two brothers, Ignatz Fox of Caldwell and Albert Fox of Canton; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Schwallie of Sharon avenue, Mrs. Cecelia Hohman of Harriettsville, and Mrs. Matilda Fisher of Wheeling, W. Va., and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Estadt Funeral Home in Caldwell. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from St. Philomena Church with the pastor, Rev. Stephen J.
