Marie (Guthmiller) Gall, 86, September 5, 1918 - September 6, 2004
Funeral services for Marie Gall were held Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at 10 a.m., at Friedens Reformed United Church of Christ, Tripp, with the Rev. Greg Way officiating. Music was furnished by Corey Gall, soloist, and Shelly Finck, organist.
Interment was made in the church cemetery with Goglin-Kelley Funeral Home, Tripp, in charge of arrangements. Honorary casketbearers were her great-grandchildren: Joshua and Heather Weisser, Kyle, Kendra and Kelby Weisser, Brandon and Nichole Weisser, Preston and Kahli Gall, Angelique Gall, and the staff of the Tripp Good Samaritan Center. Casketbearers were Corey Gall, Wade Gall, J.J. Gall, Kevin Weisser, Kelly Weisser and Brandon Weisser.
Marie Gall was born on September 5, 1918, in Bon Homme County on a farm 9-1/2 miles south of Tripp to John and Christina (Stoebner) Guthmiller. She was baptized at the Reformed Church and confirmed on June 25, 1933, at the Reformed Church at Tripp by the Rev. J. Stuebbe. She attended the Dewald School through the eighth grade.
She was united in marriage to Henry Gall on December 6, 1936, south of Tripp. They farmed northeast of Tripp until they retired and moved into Tripp in 1972.
She died on Monday, Sept. 6, at the Tripp Good Samaritan Center at the age of 86 years.
She is survived by four children, Lorna (Dale) Weisser, Delmont, Sharon Gall, Sioux Falls, Mervin (Eileen) Gall, and Merald (Kristie) Gall, Tripp; eight grandchildren, Corey Gall, Wade Gall, J.J. Gall, Kevin Weisser, Kelly Weisser, Wayne Weisser, Stacy Gall, and Jamie Gall; 10 great-grandchildren, Joshua and Heather Weisser, Kyle, Kendra and Kelby Weisser, Brandon and Nichole Weisser, Preston and Kahli Gall, and Angelique Gall; and two sisters, Martha Hirsch, Tripp, and Regina Raasch, Portland, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, on July 13, 1990; one son, Hilmer Henry in infancy; her parents; two brothers; and seven sisters.
