  [S927] Obituary. McCRAY, Sr., Virgil L. Age 90, Franklin, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016. Virgil was born in Versailles, Kentucky on March 17, 1926 to the late George and Julia McCray. Virgil served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He retired from Modern Industrial Plastics in Dayton. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, bowling and his faithful dog, Shoe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; daughters, Patricia Brown and Maria Neal; grandsons, Jacob and Seth and many brothers. Virgil will be missed by his loving children, Michael (Son) Lee McCray, Timothy (Pat) Patrick McCray, Virgil (Melody) Lee McCray, Jr., and Janet (Brian) Louise Creech; grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Terry, Tony, James, Brittany, Taylor, Mandi, Ross, Sarah, James and Zachary; 20 great grandchildren and sister, Hallie Abrams. Funeral services are at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin with Pastor Matthew Hinkle, officiating.
