Bio: Janet C. (Dick) Scheller, age 80, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, December 04, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital Main Campus surrounded by her family?s love and faith as she left her earthly home.Mrs. Scheller was born August 25, 1934 in Evansville to the late Fred and Mamie (Rapp) Dick. Janet was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church; past president of the Sacred Heart PTA, past president of AARP #2361 and had been a Girl Scout Troop Leader for 13 years. She was also a member of the Women?s Democrat Club, Riverbend Association Ladies Auxiliary and the Goodwill Ladies Auxiliary. She had worked for Warehouse Services, Inc. as an international shipping clerk for 13 years. After retirement, Janet enjoyed traveling and loved to see her calendar full of activities to keep her busy. Surviving Janet are three daughters, In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Delano ?Louie? Scheller in 1996; by two sons-in-law, Elvis Locke and Tom Lemmer and by a sister, Darlene Kington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rev. David Martin and Rev. Stephen Lintzenich officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
