Bennie R. Kuntz Bennie R. Kuntz. 72, of Billings, passed away Friday, March 27, 1998, at Saint Vincent Hospital following a long illness. He was born March 6, 1926, in Isabelle, S.D.. the son of Holdrick and Eva Kuntz. He was raised in Shepherd and the Billings area. He graduated from Shepherd High School in 1944. He farmed with his dad at Shepherd, then he worked at S.O.S. Signs. Burlington Northern. Pierce Packing and as MR. KUNTZ a carpenter with R.J. Jones and Son Construction for 36 years, retiring in 1987. Bennie loved fishing, gardening, wine making, tree grafting and bird watching. He is a member of the Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife Ann M. Kuntz of Billings, children, Raymond (Donna) Kuntz, Karen Kuntz, and Patricia (Paul) Bonzer, all of Billings, Jeanette Steiner of Worden, Steven (Kathy) Kuntz of Shepherd, LaVonne (Richard) Bailey of Rochester, Wash., Rose Hedrick of Great Falls, Larry (Debbie) Dauenhauer of San Jose, Calif., Stan (Patty) Dauenhauer and Randy Dauenhauer, of Billings, Robert Dauenhauer of Spokane, Wash., and Timothy Dauenhauer of Livingston: 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Violet Fisher of Billings, Bernice (Bill) Fisher of Powell. Wyo., and Erlean Christenson of Denver; a brother, Melvin (Betty) Kuntz of Buna Park, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith West Chapel. 304 34th St. West. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in Terrace Gardens Cemetery.
